Guyana-World-Map

A paradise located on the Northwestern coast of South America, Guyana sits nestled between Venezuela, Suriname, and Brazil. Like a fingerprint, Guyana’s Geography is like none you have ever seen. Of the countries in the region Guyana is known as one of the most densely forested countries in South America. Lush Flora and Fauna fill your eyes as your aircraft glides over its skies.

Given its proximity to the equator, Guyana has a tropical climate with average temperatures ranging from 25 oc to 27 oc throughout the year with intermittent rainfall peaking during the months of May to early August and late December to January. In other words, its perfect sunny atmosphere is a favorite during the winter.

The only English-speaking country on the continent with a small population of under 800,000 people. Almost 90% of the population lives on the northern coast of the Atlantic, taking up just about 10% of the land. The people of Guyana are descended from six ethnic groups with the largest groups belonging to those of East Indian and African descent. The mixture of cultures has created a vibe that is not unlike that of the Caribbean islands.

Although the country may be more known for the exportation of its agricultural products and precious gems and metals, its diverse, expansive, and mostly unspoiled tropical rainforests, which covers 80% of the country offers amazing opportunities for ecotourism and much more tantalizing and memorable adventures.
